Your IT department, without hiring one
We run all of it: the helpdesk your staff call, the laptops and accounts, the servers, the security and the backups. One team, one agreement, priced for your company.
For companies with enough people to feel IT problems, and better things to do than manage them.
Who this is for
Building an IT department is expensive and hard to keep. Two or three salaries, recruitment, holiday and sick cover, and the knowledge walks out of the door when someone resigns. We take on the whole function instead, for a monthly figure you agree with us.
If you are five people with a laptop each, a full IT department is more than you need, and we will tell you that on the first call.
No IT department, or one person doing everything
Nobody owns IT, or one overloaded person does, and everything stops when they go on holiday.
Enough people that IT problems waste working hours
Roughly twenty people and upwards, where an hour lost to a broken login is an hour of paid work.
Systems the business runs on
Accounting, CRM, ERP, a shop or a production system that has to be working on Monday morning.
Obligations nobody currently handles
Audits, data protection rules or client security questionnaires that currently have no owner.
What we take responsibility for
Everything an in-house IT department would own, delivered by a team you do not have to hire. How far each area goes is set in your agreement.
Support for your staff
The part your employees see: a real person who answers when something stops working.
- Helpdesk by phone, email and chat during agreed hours
- Password resets, access problems and everyday software questions
- Printers, meeting rooms, office network and connectivity
- Every request tracked, so nothing is lost in somebody's inbox
Devices and accounts
Laptops, phones and logins handled from an employee's first day to their last.
- New starters set up before their first morning
- Leavers removed from every system on the same day
- Laptop and phone purchasing, setup, repair and replacement
- Email, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, and licence management
Security and compliance
Continuous checks across your systems, and the evidence trail to prove it to an auditor.
- Vulnerability scanning and patch management across all your systems
- Antivirus, device encryption and email threat protection
- Access reviews, least privilege and key rotation
- Security baselines, staff guidance and audit evidence packs
Monitoring and incident response
AI agents watch your systems in real time, and an engineer is on the problem before your staff report it.
- Real-time monitoring of uptime, performance, certificates and error rates
- Anomaly detection tuned to your traffic, so an alert means something
- Alert triage and escalation to an engineer on call
- Reports after every incident with the cause and the fix that followed
Servers and infrastructure
Servers, networks and hosting run as one system, on your infrastructure or ours.
- Server, container and cloud administration on AWS, Azure, GCP or on-premise
- Office network, firewalls, VPN and remote access
- Capacity planning, scaling and cost review
- Updates to systems, dependencies and platforms, tested before they ship
Backup and disaster recovery
A backup nobody has restored is not a backup. We prove yours works on a schedule.
- Backups to agreed retention, encrypted and held off-site
- Scheduled restore drills with the results written down
- Recovery planning against agreed RTO and RPO targets
- Continuity documentation your team can actually follow
Response times
How fast we move depends on what is stopped. These are our standard targets; yours are fixed in the agreement.
| Priority | What it means | First response | Updates |
|---|---|---|---|
| Critical | The business is stopped, or a security incident is under way. | 30 minutes, day or night | Every 30 minutes until resolved |
| High | A team or an important system is blocked, but the company is working. | 2 business hours | Twice a day |
| Normal | One person's request, a new starter, a change or a question. | Same business day | As work progresses |
Standard cover is business hours, Monday to Friday, with an emergency line outside them for anything critical. Round-the-clock cover is available and priced separately.
How it starts
Four stages before anything becomes routine. The first one costs you nothing.
Assessment
We go through what you have: computers, accounts, servers, backups, security and whatever is already broken. You get the findings in writing, and you keep the report whether or not we work together.
Scope and agreement
The findings become a scope: what we take on, what stays with you, response times and reporting. The price is agreed against that scope, directly with us.
Handover
We take over access, monitoring and backups in a planned window, document how everything works and show your staff how to reach us. Nothing is switched over until the way back is tested.
Day-to-day running
We run it. Your staff get a helpdesk, you get a monthly review of what happened and what needs deciding, and a named contact who already knows your company.
How pricing works
We do not publish packages. Two companies of the same size rarely need the same thing, and a price list only ever fits one of them. Your figure is agreed directly with us, against a scope we both signed off.
No plans, no tiers, no monthly checkout. One agreement, written for your company.

We look before we quote. You get the findings in writing either way.
One monthly amount
Normally based on how many people and systems we look after, fixed for the term of the agreement.
Projects quoted up front
Migrations, office moves, new hardware and audits are scoped and priced before they start. No surprise invoices.
What the figure depends on
- How many people we support
- How many servers, sites and systems you run
- Coverage hours and response times
- Compliance and reporting obligations
- Number of offices and locations
- How much we run and how much we advise
Questions
No. We work on your AWS, Azure, GCP, private cloud or your own servers, with access your company grants and can revoke. Hosting with us is an option, not a condition.
Any of them. Windows and macOS computers, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, Linux and Windows servers, accounting, CRM and ERP systems, shops and websites on any platform, and everything built on Binwi. Tell us what you use and we will confirm the details during the assessment.
They usually stay, and stop being the single point of failure. We take the routine load, the out-of-hours calls and the holiday cover, and they move to the work that needs someone who knows your business. Where the line sits between us is written into the scope.
By phone, email or chat, whichever they will actually use. Every request becomes a tracked ticket, so you can see what was asked, who handled it and how long it took, instead of taking our word for it.
Under NDA, with named engineers, individual least-privilege accounts instead of shared logins, and a log of every privileged action. Access covers only what the agreement includes, and is removed when it ends.
We contain it first and tell you immediately, then follow the response plan in your agreement: isolation, evidence capture, remediation and restoration. You get a written report with the cause, the timeline and what we changed.
Twelve months is normal, because the first weeks are spent learning your company. Shorter terms are possible and priced differently. Notice periods and exit conditions are agreed with everything else, and your data and documentation stay yours.
